Safety

At Berkeley County Schools, the safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. Please review the below information on Title IX compliance, mandated reporting responsibilities, emergency protocols, and our comprehensive bullying prevention program. Here, you'll find the resources and guidance you need to ensure our schools remain safe, inclusive, and supportive environments for everyone.

Safe Schools Helpline

The Safe Schools Helpline is a toll-free phone number that anyone can call to report information that may have a negative impact on students, staff, or property at any school in West Virginia.

Mandated Reporting

As a reminder to Berkeley County Schools' employees and volunteers, we are ALL mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect. Please review mandated reporting procedures below.

Emergency Protocols

We recently updated our emergency protocol practices and language to ensure that we are fully prepared for any potential hazards.

Bullying Prevention Program

Berkeley County Schools (BCS) continues to enhance and implement a bullying prevention program in all PreK-12 schools.

See Something, Send Something

You can help keep our schools safe by using an app called See Something, Send Something, or See Send. If you notice anything strange or concerning, you can report it through this app. The information you provide will be shared with different organizations in West Virginia that work to keep us safe, like the West Virginia Emergency Management Division and local law enforcement.

You can download the all from the App Store or Google Play.
