Substitute Teach with BCS
Substitute Teachers Fill a Critical Need
Thank you for Considering Substitute Teaching in Berkeley County Schools!
We are actively recruiting substitute teachers to fill both day-to-day and long-term positions that may be temporarily vacant or unable to be filled by a certified teacher. Whether you're just out of college, thinking of becoming a teacher, or interested in switching careers, substitute teaching provides a meaningful opportunity and helps fill a critical need in Berkeley County Schools.
Requirements
All applicants must meet all requirements prior to completing an application. Applicants need to
be 21 or older
be able to pass a background check
be able to submit 3 professional references for review including at least 1 from an immediate supervisor
have completed a county approved substitute teacher training course within 1 year or have a valid state-issued teaching certificate
have completed 60 semester GPA credit hours or 90 quarter GPA credit hours of college course work with a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
