JumpStart Programs (Transportation Provided by SMHS)

Jump Start Programs allow high school seniors to earn the first year of an associate degree program while still in high school at discounted tuition prices. Spring Mills High School provides bus transportation for students to take these courses during periods 1 through 4. Students return to Spring Mills High School prior to the start of 5th period. Students must be high school seniors to participate in the JumpStart program.

Berkeley County Scholars Program

In partnership with Blue Ridge, high school seniors may attend two college courses in the afternoon on the Blue Ridge campus and be back at their high schools to participate in extracurricular activities. Transportation is NOT provided by Spring Mills High School.

Fall 2024

English 101 (3 Credits)
Intro to Psychology (3 Credits)

Spring 2025

English 102 (3 Credits)
American Federal Government (3 Credits)

Application Process

  1. Click here to create an account.

  2. Complete the online application in full and submit the application. 

  3. Go to Parchment.com to create an account and send your transcript to BRCTC.

  4. Complete and submit the Supplemental High School Agreement

  5. If you are taking an English, Math or Chemistry class, submit SAT or ACT scores or take the required placement exam for admission. If you have not taken either exam, please schedule a Placement Test appointment on campus, as it is required for entry into college-level English and mathematics courses. Schedule a testing appointment.
