Musselman families, today as part of our continued partnership with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department, we allowed the police canines to complete a training exercise at Musselman Middle. This was a great opportunity for not only the dogs to get practice but also for our students to foster a stronger connection with our local law enforcement. Students were notified that this was just a practice exercise at the beginning of the drill, so that we didn't cause any concern with our students. We appreciate all the work our local law enforcement does to keep us safe each day.
Thank you,
Mrs. Sura

Good afternoon Musselman families. I wanted this to let you know that at bus arrival this morning, we had a staff medical emergency that required an ambulance. Upon entering the building students were instructed to report directly to their classrooms. We sincerely appreciate the cooperation of our staff and students during the emergency this morning. Musselman Middle School returned to a normal schedule at approximately 7:40 am.

MuMS families,
This morning we had a brief evacuation due to a popcorn machine setting off our smoke detector. Students and staff evacuated the building quickly and orderly and have now returned to their classes. We want to thank our first responders for their quick action! We also thank our staff and students for quickly evacuating the building and maintaining order during this unexpected situation.
Thank you,
Ashley Sura
