Dear Musselman Families,
This afternoon we were made aware of a social media post stating that there was a student with a weapon at Musselman Middle. The School Safety Officer was immediately involved and, through investigation, determined the threat to be false with no danger to student or staff safety. Appropriate disciplinary action is being taken against the student identified with creating the threat.
The safety of our students and staff is my top priority and I wish to thank those who brought the concern to my attention so that it could be handled quickly.
Please remind your students to make good, positive behavioral choices and that inappropriate actions or threats come with consequences.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached at 304-229-1965 or ashley.sura@k12.wv.us.
Thank you,
Mrs. Sura
