Laura Bohrer is the recipient of the 2024-2025 Fulbright Teacher Exchange Award by the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. As one of over 800 U.S. citizens selected for this program, Laura will have the opportunity to teach, study, and conduct research abroad, contributing to global educational and professional exchanges. The Fulbright Program supports over 400,000 participants from more than 160 countries since 1946.
In addition to her Fulbright Award, Laura has completed the Nourish the Future Teacher Leader Community Program. This year-long national STEM initiative, supported by industry partners like the United Soybean Board and the National Corn Growers Association, connects educators to modern agriculture to enhance science education. Laura was among 38 elite educators selected for this program. Through this program, Laura has gained valuable skills in leadership and curriculum development, focusing on integrating agriculture into science lessons to inspire students and highlight career opportunities in STEM fields.
