Where are We Located?

Berkeley County is located approximately 75 air miles northwest of Washington, D.C. in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. The population of the county is approximately 122,000 and continues to grow as many new businesses establish facilities here. Our county is a "bedroom community" for many people who work in the metropolitan Washington/Baltimore area. Close proximity to D.C., Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia make Berkeley County an exciting place to live, learn and grow for students and educators.   

Four high schools, six middle schools, six intermediate schools and sixteen elementary schools serve a student population 19,722 strong and growing at Berkeley County Schools.
