Valley View Elementary

Some second grade students got to start the Crazy 8's Math club after school this week.  Over the next 8 weeks, these kids will get a chance to look at Math a different way and use some outside the box thinking to learn new math concepts and strengthen concepts they've already learned.  The first session was using glow sticks to create shapes, make lattices on the floor and then make cubes to see how tall of a building they could make using only glow sticks and styrofoam balls.  Watch for more pictures in the coming weeks.  There will be other opportunities for after school clubs as the year continues.  Keep an eye out for information to come home later in the year for these other clubs.
