Title I Information

  • Title I is a federally funded program to provide extra help and resources for students in Math and Reading.

  • Title I can provide assistance for all students within the school.

  • Title I encourages parent involvement through parent trainings and family activities either during the school day or after school.

  • Title I provides trainings, resources and technology for teachers to help them better help our students.

  • Title I provides reading materials for students in the classroom and for various school activities.

  • Title I provides extended learning time for students in the form of after school clubs.

The Berkeley County Schools district and the parents of students participating in activities, services, and programs funded by Title I agree that this compact outlines how the parents, school staff and students will share the responsibility for improved academic achievement.  The school and parents will build and develop a partnership to help children achieve the State’s high standards.
