Transportation

During the school year, Berkeley County Schools has 240+ buses on the road transporting more than 15,000 students to and from school each day. The department's 300+ employees travel more than 3 million miles annually covering all 322 miles of our county. From time-to-time, it may be necessary to substitute a bus on a route or make route schedule adjustments. To help keep you informed, these changes will be made available via the Transportation Dashboard.

Route Adjustments

Throughout the year, BCS bus routes may be affected by bus operator shortages that can occur due to personal/family obligations, illnesses or vacancies. Please accept our apologies if a route is adjusted or canceled .

In these situations, if you are able, we encourage parents/caregivers to transport student(s) to and from school. If you are unable to transport your student to their school site, please contact your school by calling the office and/or by using Schoology, Seesaw to access school assignments.

Absences will be marked excused if due to a cancelled bus route.Adjusted buses/schedules/routes for the day are listed below. Please note that changes will be made as information is available. Those responsible for maintaining the BCS Transportation Dashboard attempt to ensure accuracy and reliability of the data contained in the information below within the site. Check in frequently for the latest routing updates and traffic information.
