Welcome to Mountain Ridge Middle School
Dear MRMS Students and Families,
I want to take this opportunity to welcome each of you to Mountain Ridge Middle School! We are delighted to have you join our school community for a year that promises to bring excitement and enriching academics. Whether you are a returning 7th or 8th grader or a new 6th grader, we can’t wait to embark on this journey of learning and growth together.
At Mountain Ridge Middle School, we believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive. Our team of dedicated teachers and staff is committed to providing you with a well-rounded education that not only challenges you academically but also encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning. Middle school is a time of growth and self-discovery, and we encourage you to make the most of this phase of your education. This is a place where you can discover your interests and develop new skills that will serve you well in high school and beyond.
In addition to your core subjects that are offered here at MRMS, we will be offering a range of extracurricular activities, clubs, and sports to cater to different passions and talents. Whether you’re interested in arts and crafts, science, sports, music, or anything else, there is something for everyone to get involved in.
We also place great importance on building a strong sense of community within the school. We encourage you to treat each other with kindness, respect, and empathy daily and throughout the year. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Our faculty and staff are here to guide and support you every step of the way. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers or any school staff member if you have questions, concerns, or need assistance.
Parents and guardians, we extend a warm welcome to you as well. Your involvement in your child’s education plays a crucial role in shaping their academic success and overall development. When parents actively participate in their student’s educational journey, it creates a powerful support system that empowers the student to thrive. Please consider joining our school’s LSIC (Local School Improvement Council) or PTO this school year.
Sincerely,
Brandon Burkhart, Principal
